ridecount Registration
Why is my e-mail address/username already in use?
If you have registered previously for ridecount with the same e-mail address, the system will not allow you to register for another account with the same e-mail address. You can use the "forgot password" function and enter your e-mail address to receive a reminder of your password and details.
Why can't I have a "reserved" username?
Some usernames have been "reserved" by ridecount to ensure they do not cause problems with our systems. Such names include 'admin', 'webmaster', 'postmaster', 'email' and many others. Please choose a username that is unique to yourself instead.
Why do I have to enter the random numbers from the image?
This help to prevent "spam bots" and other automated services from signing up to ridecount. We are very sorry if its caused you any problems, and if you are still having problems registering for an account, please contact our helpdesk for further assistance.
I haven't received my activation e-mail!
Panic not - firstly please ensure that you've waited at least an hour to receive the email. Sometimes the system can be a little slow at dispatching emails to you.
Secondly please ensure that the email has not landed in your spam/trash folder by accident.
And if all of that fails, please contact us via the helpdesk stating your registered username and email address, and we'll resolve the problem for you.

I'm not receiving any ridecount e-mails (e.g. password reminders)
Oh dear! Please ensure that the email has not landed in your spam/trash folder by accident. If you're sure that the email hasn't been filed by your spam filter, or that there are no other problems with your email address, please contact us via the helpdesk and we'll ensure that the emails are being sent out to you.
My account has been suspended/is unactivated
If you are trying to sign in to ridecount and you are being told this, chances are that you have not yet activated your account via the welcome email sent when you registered. If you can't find the welcome email or it has not arrived, please see here
If your account was working fine and suddenly now it is reporting your account has been suspended/not activated, we have possibly put a suspension/ban on your account. If we do this, we have usually sent an email informing you so to your registered email address. If you still have any questions, please contact the ridecount helpdesk.
I can't stay signed in to ridecount - it keeps signing me out
This is usually because your browser has been set to reject our "cookies". ridecount uses cookies to keep you signed into the site, and if your browser/firewall/privacy software is blocking our session cookies, we can't keep you signed into the site.
Please ensure you allow cookies in your browser/privacy software from the address "www.ridecount.com", or contact our helpdesk for further assistance.
Can I delete my ridecount account completely?
Certainly. If you feel the need to leave us at any point, please open a ticket in the helpdesk and request your account to be removed.
Your ridecount public profile
How do I hide my personal details in my profile?
Simple - leave the options you don't want to be shown blank, and we won't display them on your profile
How do I change my picture on my profile?
You can change it via 'Photo Options' in your my ridecount menu
Can I hide my profile completely?
Not at the moment no - if its something people request enough, we will add it as an option. You can add your request for it in our bug report/feedback form
Whats the address to access my profile quickly?
It is simply http://www.ridecount.com/your_username
My ride count is wrong and doesn't add up correctly!
Ooops! Sometimes our systems don't syncronise correctly, which means your total ride count might not add up correctly. If this happens, contact us via the helpdesk and we'll correct it for you. We will also be shortly releasing an option to syncronise it yourself.
Trip Reports
How come the park I want is not in the list?
At the moment ridecount is limited to the top UK parks - and we're adding parks all the time. If you would like to suggest a park you want to see, please pop the suggestion in at our bug report/feedback form and we'll look into adding it for you.
How come the ride I want isn't in the list?
That very rarely happens - it may be an oversight by our admin team when we were adding all the rides, especially if its a new ride! Again, drop us a helpdesk ticket and we'll see if you can sort it for you.
How do I track more than one park in one day?
Simple. Create another trip report for the park you visited.
A trip report is a written account of your trip to the theme park. You can write about anything you want! A good thing to write about though are things like the queues, any ride problems, or even a review of all the rides you went on. Share any hints or tips you've discovered, the great little places to eat or relax, or anything else you might think other people might like to know about!
Can I create trip reports for visits in the past?
Certainly! Just change the dates in the "add trip report" form to the date you want to log
Can I edit or delete a trip report/trip etc?
Yes cou can - select 'Edit' next to the trip in your my ridecount panel
Can I edit or delete a trip report?
Yes - simply view your trip reports in 'my ridecount' and select 'Edit'. If you wish to delete the written trip report, scroll to the bottom of the edit window and select the 'Delete' checkbox
Can I delete all of my trip reports and start again?
You can 'wipe' your profile clean and start again if you wish - be warned however - this will loose ALL of your data logged so far, and must only be used to remove EVERYTHING from your profile.

ridecount Signatures
Whats the address for my signature image?
Usually its: http://ridecount.com/sig/your_username.png - however see 'signature options' in my ridecount for the exact location of your signature
How do I change the look of my signature image?
At present you are not able to change the look of your signature - however we are adding this very very soon, so keep looking out!
Why is my signature image out of date/incorrect?
Sometimes this can happen by accident with the system - however you can force a manual update of your signature via 'signature options' in the 'my ridecount' panel. Also you should be aware that your browser may cache the image - ensure you 'refresh' the page to get an up to date copy.
